Me.
Me.
I havent posted on this blog for SOOO long, and I dont think that any of my friends have posted on their blogs either. Honestly, I kind of forgot that I even had this blog....
Well, last month I had my elleventh birthday! It was so much fun! I celebrated my birthday at a place called escape hunt. It's a place where you get locked in a romm for an hour (actually just 50 minutes) and you need to find keys and clues, to hopefully escape before the time ran out. Me and very few of my friends (maybe only three to four) had played this game before. Unfortunately last time we didn't escape before the time ran out. And got TRAPPPED IN THE ROOM FOR ALL ETERNITY. Just kidding! If I were trapped in a room for all eternity, then how would I be blogging right now? Anyway.... I don't go to ACG anymore, I moved to a German school, because at some point in my life I'm gonna have to move to Germany. So my parents put me in this (mostly) German speaking school so that I could get used to the system and the language. Because my parents dont want me to mentally and emotionally die when I leave Jakarta and move to Germany. So far my best friend here at DSJ is Eszter (it's a Hungarian name). She is in the same class as me. There is the primary class for example P3, P4, or P6 (For them, most lessons have part Indonesian if they don't understand the German.) Then theres the Klasse 3, Klasse 4 or Klasse 6. AKA: the all German speaking classes. (Also, if you didn't know, "klasse" means class in German.) I'm in that class, and there are only three student's in it! Can you believe it?!! Whereas the primary class has around 25 students in it! 🙀😱🤨 Well, of course there are more Indonesian students coming to thuis school... Because we live in Indonesia. I have to go now, but I'ts been so much fun to come on here and just write, and write, and write.. Toodles!

#ChangedMyMindPoemI used to hate reading, Now it's the only thing I do. I used to think that I was the only girl in my dads life, Then, I found out that my mom was there too. I used to feel sad when people called me weird, But I embraced it, and now It's my new motto. I used to think that the world was flat and that you could walk straight off the end. Now, I know that it's actually round. I use to be so annoyed by my sister, Now I know, that she is one of the brightest parts of my life. I used to think that I was always right, Now I know, that nobody can be. I used to want to be perfect, Now I know, that Its actually impossible. I used to hate my fringe, But now it's gone, and I miss it. I didn't know if I was a dog or a cat person, Now I know that I'm a bit of both. I used to think that everyone looked he same, But now I know that everyone is beautiful in their own way. I used to not care about fashion, Now I know that it's just one of the many ways to express your personality. I used to think that adults were either giants or gods, Now I know, that they are just regular people living their lives. Just like me. I used to think everything mattered about looks, Now I know that beauty is on the inside So, as you may have realised by my past blog posts, I LOVE to write. I also LOVE to read, I've read through the whole Harry Potter series twice in a row. In just 4 and a half months. Reading I absolutely LOVE reading. I can't survive a whole day without reading a book. I always have a book with me, everywhere I go. Wether it be the airport, the salon, school, the doctors, on holiday, and every other place on earth that you can think of. Recently I have been reading Harry Potter by J.K. Rowling. It is SO interesting. However, ever since I got off the Harry Potter train, (two days ago) I've been reading books by an author called Michael Morpurgo. My Year 5 teacher (Mr. B) showed me, and the entire class an author called Michael Morpurgo. He read us chapter books and novels by him, I really love his writing because it is always very descriptive and interesting. Very recently, I did a reading test with my teacher Ms. Buckley. This type test was called Probe. (The older kids reading test) That test determines your reading age, and my reading age was... Drumroll please! . . . . My reading age for nonfiction is... 15 and a half, and my reading age for fiction is 15. But my real age is 10, and I'm one of the youngest in my class. Well, my reading age was not exactly unexpected, because I read about 2 and a half hours a day. But I still wasn't was expecting 15! I thought it would be more like, (I don't know..) 13 - 14. First, I read a book called The Kites Are Flying, then I read a Book Called Meeting Cézanne, and now I'm reading a book called Eagle In The Snow. (All books by Michael Morpurgo) Writing
Well, you may have noticed that I like to write. . . Probably from the, what is it? 5 paragraphs that I wrote above... BUT, I'm pretty annoyed at my sister for wrecking my room, so I'm going to do the rest tommorow. Or maybe on a different blog post. So you're going to have to be patent, because I'm known to be quite forgetful. So....... BYE! Ms. Buckleys/my class made a book-spine poem today. A book-spine poem is a poem made up of different book titles. First we all went up to the school library to collect some books with cool titles. Then, we stacked the books on top of eachother and used the boks titles to make a sentence, or many sentences. My book-spine poem comprised of 10 books, well here it is... I'm still not sure what the title will be... Meh, I'll find out eventually.
Mine is kind of hard to understandd, but if you look at it from the right perspective, I think that it is pretty cool. If you cant read it (which I highly doubt) this is what it says: I was a rat! A pizza the size of the sun, this is what it looks like. Mixed up magic, rat life. If you are reading this, it's too late. No way to go, now I'm a rat burger. The truth is.. It was just a dream. Okay.. This may take some explaining... So, this person got turned into a rat. And if your'e a rat, a pizza would look the same size as the sun. (True fact right there, but how would I knoww? I've never been turned into a rat before) You think that this is some mixed up magic, but then you understand, and a wave of horror suddenly washes upon you. Now you are stuck in the rat life. If you are reading this it is too late, because you have been turned into a rat burger. But the truth is.. It was all just a bad dream. It was pretty crazy, but hey! That's me! My name is Virginia E _______ W____
Sorry, I can't put my full name. (Internet safety!) Virgin means pure, like a shining diamond, and Virginia means maiden.(Not married.) I'm not exactly sure what the other parts of my name mean. I know that my last name/family name definitely has German origin, but I'm not sure what my middle name means. My name's color is yellow, meaning always happy, forgetful, funny, and most importantly, CRAZY. (In a good way) Yellow like a blinding ray of sun. I never stop shining. My name sounds kind of American, but it also sounds part European. When you hear it, it sounds like happiness, it sounds like reassurement. (well, thats what my freinds say.) When I grow older, I want to keep my name, as a memory of my parent's gift to me. I love my name. By: Virginia Farewell! Hi!
Today I'm going to talk about public and private information. (What you should and shouldn't share online.) Private Information What not to share Your full name. (Unless you're 18 and up.) Any pictures of yourself.(Unless you're 18 and up) Don't share you're street address.. Don't share any form of contact. (Unless you're 18 and up.) For more detail, ask your parents. What you can share Your first name eg: my name is Virginia. What you're favourite animal, color, song, is. Which country you are from. Again, for more detail ask your parents. I'm guessing if you ask an adult about this they will probably teach you more about this, but this is what I got. Peace OUT. Today the year 6 students of my school went on a field trip, to Museum Macan! MACAN Museum of M -modern, A -and, C -contemporary, A -art in, N -nusantara --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Before we went to the museum, both classes had a small preview of what we were going to see in the museum. And then finally, we got on the school busses and we set off for Museum Macan. (By the way ITS AWESOME, you should really go there.) This was probably one of the best field trip experiences I have EVER had. Museum Macan is AWESOME! My favourite art pieces were Asean +3 By . . . The Infinity Mirrored Room By . . . I'm VERY happy that I got to have this experience.
if you see this, you should DEFINATELY go to Museum Macan! Aloha! (It means hello AND goodbye) #BestWeekEver!
As you might have noticed, at my school. It's LITERACY WEEK! Tuesday was pajama day and today, it's "write your heart out" day. Well... 6Buckley (my class) changed it to "blog your heart out" instead. So I'm planning on doing a REALLY long blog. So get comfy, possibly even get a snack. Because your'e going to be here a while (I definitely will) . If you want to read the whole thing... After School Routine? Monday Normally, After school, get home on the bus. At home watch YouTube/Netflix for 30 minutes. Next, do homework for 40 minutes. After homework is finished, watch TV and play on my phone. Tuesday After school go to swimming, with my friend Jasmine. After and hour and a half of swimming, every one goes to shower and change into their clothes. Then everybody goes home. When I'm finally home, I go and do my homework directly and spend the rest of the night doing random stuff. For example: fly my drone, read a book, watch YouTube/Netflix, take a nap... Wednesday After school, do homework for 40 minutes. After homework, watch TV and play on my phone. Play a game with my dad. The rest is COMING SOON Today I had a conversation with my parents...
About what I want to be when I grow up. "Hi mom," I asked. "Can I ask you a question?" "Sure honey!" replied my mother. "Okay, I said. "What did you want to be when you were a kid? Around my age. " "Oh! I wanted to be a priest." answered my mom. "A what?" I wondered "A priest, P-R-I-E-S-T" recited my mother. "Ooooohh. A PRIEST.. WAIT... A PRIEST?! Honestly, that is SO boring!" I insisted. "No, that was what my mom wanted me to be." "Ok, so what DID you want to be?" I pressed on. "I wanted to be a teacher." my mom said. "Oh, okay. Thanks!" I concluded. "Your very welcome!" She mentioned. So, that was our conversation. About what I want to be when I grow up, is a WHOLE different story. When I grow up, I want to be an author. You know, write books and stuff. I'm not really sure yet, it could change as fast as a button being pressed. Until next time... Today my class went to Global Jaya, to see the year 6 students exhibition. We left the school at 8:30 am. The class was split into 2 parts. Our group was on the bus for 45 minutes. I was reading half the way and the rest. Reading. When we got there, we went to the theater to watch a small performance (the theater was HUGE).
Next, we went to see the actual exhibition. We went in with our groups, most of the projects were about the environment. I thought of our own year 6 class and our exhibition, that we were going to do soon. I had an idea near the end of the exhibition, for my project. It would be a book and instead of pages and pages of just writing information about extinct animals. Soon after that we went back to the school bus (the way we got to Global Jaya School. We arrived back at school at 12:00 am (afternoon time) Once we were at school again, everybody just sat and read for 30 minutes. In our class we called quiet reading DEAR time. D: drop - E: everything - A: and - R: read. Byeeeeeee! |
